In William Shakespeareââ¬â¢s Hamlet, young Hamlet is obviously the hero of the play. Stranded in the middle of a court full of corruption, faced with his fatherââ¬â¢s death and his motherââ¬â¢s almost immediate remarriage, Hamlet somehow comes out of it a hero in the readerââ¬â¢s minds. It is his courageousness and nobility that lead him through his revenge, virtually unscathed by the corruption of the court. Hamletââ¬â¢s courageousness is shown through many aspects. After being given a mission of revenge by his late fatherââ¬â¢s ghost young Hamlet not only accepts it, but also expands the mission to include purifying the whole court. Though he does not consciously announce his goal to root out the corruption in the court, it can be seen through his reactions after killing Polonius and manipulating the deaths of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern. His reaction upon realizing that he had killed Polonius was not one of utter shock or one of regret; instead, Hamlet proclaims farewell to the ââ¬Å"wretched, rash, intruding foolâ⬠(III.iv. 33). Also, Hamlet tells Horatio that Rosencrantz and Guildenstern ââ¬Å"are not near his conscienceâ⬠(V.ii.58), even after he has ordered the killing of the two. Even though Hamlet may sound cold and heartless, it is not so because in Hamletââ¬â¢s perspective, he was merely trying to rid the court of corrupted fools as it is part of his scheme of purifying the court. Hamletââ¬â¢s murder of these three characters reflect great courage because by doing so he had to overcome his religious belief that murder is a sin and live up to the challenge of purifying the court. Not only does Hamletââ¬â¢s courageousness show in his mission of revenge, it is conveyed in other incidences in the play. He is not afraid to follow the ghost in the fourth scene of the first act. Hamlet clearly knows about the dangers of following the ghost, as it could be a devil in disguise and easily take Hamletââ¬â¢s life. However, Hamlet senses that the ghost might be his late fatherââ¬â¢s spirit and therefore disregards his companionsââ¬â¢ warnings and follows it. This act shows his courage as he quells any fears that he may have and pursues the ghost, in hopes that it may answer the question of his presence, even if it may cost Hamlet his life. He is much braver than his companions, who are not willing to follow the ghost. Another event in the play where Hamletââ¬â¢s bravery is clearly shown is when he accepts Laertesââ¬â¢ duel challenge. Even when Horatio warns him against taking the challenge due to possible acts of trickery by Claudius, Hamlet dismisses it because he now believes that ââ¬Å"thereââ¬â¢s a divinity that shapes our endsâ⬠(V.ii.10), and one must accept that fact. This clearly shows his courage, as he now is able to accept death, something that takes bravery and wisdom. Again, Hamletââ¬â¢s courage is obviously greater than Horatioââ¬â¢s. This is what makes Hamlet a greater man than Horatio. Horatio may be the most just throughout the play, but Hamletââ¬â¢s bravery dominates and distinguishes him from Horatio. Through these examples, it is evident that Hamletââ¬â¢s courage outweighs that of any other character. Another aspect of Hamlet that brands him the hero of this play is his nobility. Before his fatherââ¬â¢s death, Hamlet is a very intelligent man, sophisticated and cultured. Unlike Fortinbras, who would risk thousands of lives ââ¬Å"even for an eggshellâ⬠(IV.iv.53), Hamlet, for something as big as revenge for his fatherââ¬â¢s death, must be totally certain that Claudius is the true killer until he can act. His nobility also will not allow him to embarrass anybody in public. In private, he will speak his mind fully, as shown when he yells such atrocities as ââ¬Å"get thee to a nunneryâ⬠(III.i.133) to Ophelia in the nunnery scene. Another example of Hamlet speaking his mind in private is when he accuses the queen of living ââ¬Å"in the rank sweat of an enseamed bed, Stewââ¬â¢d in corruption, honeying and making love Over the nasty styâ⬠(III.iv.94) in the bedroom scene. However, in the second scene of the first act, Hamlet promises his mother that he will stay in Denmark. He makes this promise in front of the court.Another incident that augments Hamletââ¬â¢s nobility is when Hamlet does not inspect the foils before the sword fight. He did not do so because if he had, there was a chance that he would have embarrassed the king and Laertes in front of the court had he found any trickery. The only incident where he does publicly embarrass someone is after the bedroom scene when Claudius is asking about the body of Polonius. Hamlet proclaims that ââ¬Å"a king may go a progress through the guts of a beggarâ⬠(IV.iii.29), and by doing so infers that Claudius is rotten enough to be eaten by maggots. However, this can be attributed to his current state of mind, right after becoming a killer. Another incident that shows Hamletââ¬â¢s nobility is when he does not kill Claudius in the prayer scene. He believes that by doing so, he will send Claudius to heaven and thus not fulfill the task of revenge successfully. This is contrasted by Laertes, another foil for Hamlet, when he proclaims that he would ââ¬Å"cut Hamletââ¬â¢s throat iââ¬â¢ the churchâ⬠(IV.vii. 125). Another quality of Hamlet that makes him noble is his loyalty. In the interest of Hamletââ¬â¢s safety, it would be better if he did not have to kill Claudius, because that would be an act of murder and treason. However, Hamlet is loyal to his father and does not think about his own end. Instead, he only thinks of the task of revenge. This is clearly contrasted through the characters of Polonius, Rosencrantz, and Guildenstern, who become pawns of Claudius in hopes that by doing so, they will gain status in the court. Through these examples and comparisons to other minor characters in the play, it is seen that Hamlet is obviously the noblest character in the play. It is seen through the examples of Hamletââ¬â¢s courage and nobility that he is obviously the hero of the play. However, these are only the physical aspects of a hero. Often, as is the case with Hamlet, the reader will connect and have feelings for the hero, and thus make him more memorable. Hamlet is a young man with depth and thought. He is troubled because his perfect life has just been shattered and he has been given the task of revenge and killing a man. Instead of backing down, he builds his courage up and rises to the occasion by giving himself the impossible task of purifying the whole court. A reader canââ¬â¢t help but feel for this young soul. Also, even when it is against his morals to kill, he still accepts the task of revenge because it is the noble choice. Who is at fault for the behavior of a certain individual? Is the parent to be punished for the crime or wrong doing of their child? Parents should have control of their own children and are held liable for anything the child does. They are the legal guardians, it is not the child who teaches himself/herself to be that way, it is the parent.They choose how to raise their children, if the child is troubled, that falls on the parent. Maybe because they are either never there or they just let them do anything. The other side of the story is the children. Some are taught the right way but tend to do things the way they want to and not how they are taught to act. Some children also act differently, their behavior in front of their parents is a way different behavior they show in front of other grown ups. I am for and against this saying and I would briefly state my ideas in th e paragraphs below.Parents play a big role in a childââ¬â¢s life. A parent is like a role model for the child, whatever the parent does, is what a child would do. How a parent raise their child is how the child would behave. What the parents sow is what they will reap also. If they raise an undisciplined, disrespectful child, a undisciplined and disrespectful child they would get. There are certain parents who discipline their children how they are suppose to, but there are parents who do the opposite.There are also parents who do not do anything but just sit there and let their child do whatever. Then when their child gets into trouble, they blame it on the child which causes peer pressure and leads to many bad things beyond. A childââ¬â¢s mentality is way different from adults. Along the way the child makes mistakes and these mistakes help them learn a lesson from it and prepare them for what the future holds. One of the biggest mistakes children have is misbehaving. Childre n do things very childish and never serious which is bad behavior.In order for a child to be raise properly, there must be a firm foundation within the family beginning with respect. Without respect there is no control or order within the family. A child needs rules and boundaries as well as love and understanding from the parents. I agree that parents should accept the responsibility, but I do not agree with punishing them. They are already punished by being brought to where ever Seui 2 their child is. They are being punished by taking their time off from work and have to come to where their child is at.The parents should accept the responsibility and should work on disciplining their child. It is the parents job to straighten up there childââ¬â¢s attitude because itââ¬â¢s there child. Most of the children do not listen to anyone but their parents, so thatââ¬â¢s why parents should take the responsibility and take action for their child. It is also the parentââ¬â¢s respo nsibility or duty to take full responsibility of their child until they reach adulthood. It is the duty to teach their child what is the acceptable and unacceptable behavior. nly the parent of the child knows his/her daughter better than any one else, but it does not mean they can handle any situation that arises in this childââ¬â¢s life. It only means that there is no one better than them to address any issues that may address any issues that arise in the childââ¬â¢s life. The child should take punishment, because he/she did it and needs to take the punishment so he/she can learn from the mistake he/she has done. It is not fair, that the child causes the trouble, but the parents have to be punished because it was not the parent that misbehaved, it was the child itself.

Julius Caesarââ¬â¢s famous ââ¬Å"Veni, vidi, viciâ⬠is a tricolon consisting of three verbs. There are two types of dimensions of the society, such as individualist society and collectivist society. It means that the people of Korea follow collectivistic social structure and values. (Oil Facts) The United States was responsible for 25% of the world oil consumption in 2002, and those numbers are rising. (Oil Demand) As demands increase and the supplies of oil continue a rapid depletion, large political powers in the US struggle to keep their heads afloat. Many conspiracy theories have dabbled in the pool of scandal within the Whitehouseââ¬â¢s knowledge of September 11 before it happened, and George W. Bushââ¬â¢s master plan to wage a ââ¬Å"War on Terrorâ⬠, with a backdrop of draining the last of the oil supplies from the mid-East. Every conspiracy theory needs to be taken with a grain of salt, but it is important to remember our past. It was only until long after the Vietnam war that people were told of the pre-knowledge of utter lack of any possibility for them to win the war, yet officials still pressured our armies into Vietnam until near extinction. In 50 years, we will all know the real deal behind September 11th and George Bushââ¬â¢s strong motives to pursue the War on Terror (even when the rest of the world advices against it.) Blacks only migrated to the United States. You find that most a times, the black usually move to the united states in search of increased standards of living say education and jobs. Most of the immigrants to the United States are blacks. Racism is one of the central features in the united states society since blacks and other people of colour are have discriminated so much in many fields. You find that most of the blacks and even the black Americans are usually discriminated on their race. For example in the areas of employment, blacks are usually seen as unproductive and hence discriminated in these areas. Its argued that most of Its forms have recently à changed but, in this case à we only need to look no further than the rates in unemployment which black people normally face, the rising levels of property by the blacks as when compared to the citizens of that country and, life expectancy rates, incomes as when compared to the citizens of that country and the stereotypes in the mass media à in orderà to understand that racism and racial inequality still remains in the united states. (Allport, 2003). The value of racism that is examined in this case is that historically we find that racism can be analyzed as a central aspect of most of the economic system. In this case I can examine the Marxist theory which says that racism is supposed to only serve the capitalists or even the wealthy in the society at the expense of the suffering few. Also in the theory colonialism, many groups have come up with many theories that based their arguments and challenged racial injustice. All this is said to have happened in the early 60s and 70s.This theory needs to be modified and itââ¬â¢s also relevant to examine the United States societies although it needs to be modified, it is relevant to examine the United States societies and its impacts to the blacks who live in the United States. (Butler, 1997). In the dual labour market, you find that the blacks are usually neglected in both the public and the private sectors. The issue of wages has been dodged by controversy which leaves us with the question of what can be considered as the right wages. A right wage can be said to be a compensation for a service offered which equals the amount of effort that was used in the service. Going with the labor theories, employer has a moral duty of ensuring that they pay the employees a wage which is equal to their input in their services.à An engineer will not be expected to be paid the same amount of wage as a casual laborer. These are some of the segmentation in the labor market that we have to agree with. But in most of the dual sectors that is the public and the private sectors, you find that, blacks are usually discriminated and usually do hard work with only small wages. (Butler, 1997). Institutional discrimination is also evident in the blacks who stay in the United States. In most of these institutions, you find that blacks are usually denied access to some of the institutions.Ofcourse institutional discrimination is something which blacks have faced for quite a long time. For example, during the early times, blacks were forced in to institutional slavery. In this case, blacks were usually captured and taken as slavery by the American. Even today some of these cases do happen since you find that most of the blacks who go stay in America are forced to do hard work since they are discriminated in certain institutions. (Butler, 1997). Double jeopardy does not happen to the blacks who live in the United States. Double jeopardy can be taken as the case when a criminal is supposed to be tried for a second time of the crime committed. In this case, blacks are not double jeopardized since there is a law which governs human rights and even for the immigrants who live in the United States. (Allport, 2003). Redlining also happens to the blacks which live in the United States. Redlining means the case when the costs of living are increased or even denied to some groups of individuals. But for this case, the blacks are denied their standards of living despite the human rights constitution which states that immigrants should be protected. In this case, redlining can be seen in various accesses to jobs. Most of the blacks are usually denied access to job facilities and are mostly supposed to do the casual activities over there. There costs of living are low as when compared to the citizens of that country. Evvironmental justice is also accorded to the blacks who stay in the United States. You find that the human rights act which is set by various non governmental programs to help protect immigrants who come to unites states have been applied in most of these cases. People have the right to move to any country and enjoy the benefits of that country just like anybody else. Affirmative action can be seen in the areas of employment. Out of research, it has been found that employer support for affirmative action has a significant and positive influence on the blacks who stay in the United States and this can be seen at the higher job levels. (Allport, 2003). Conclusion Blacks are one of the ethnic groups in the United States. They migrated to the United States in search of jobs, higher education and also increased standards of living. Despite their movement to these places, they usually face a lot of discrimination. For example they face a lot of racial discrimination.
